Our Mission Statement: The Mission of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of Massachusetts is to advocate for OIF (Iraq) and OEF (Afghanistan) Veteran and Veteran Family issues at the local, state, and federal level. Working on behalf of Veterans and their families through collaboration, communication, and outreach, OIF/OEF will monitor and propose legislation that upholds the same values all members of the United States Armed Forces swore to protect.

OIF/OEF Veterans of Massachusetts leads the initiative in the battle for our returning veterans. As the only OIF and OEF Veteran and Family organization in Massachusetts, we take pride in our work in helping our bothers and sisters in arms. Our staff has the expertise on the unique difficulties and effects from serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation enduring Freedom. Serving as a source of resolution to these problems, OIF/OEF determines what preexisting programs work in favor of veterans, as well as offering new ideas.

With each conflict, veterans face new issues and hardships to endure upon returning home. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has maintained reputations for offering comprehensive benefits and services to its veterans, but there is always the need to improve. Every day, our veterans face new adversities on and off the battlefield. We, as citizens and soldiers feel that we must be prepared to assist all veterans as they begin a new fight.

| We use these traits as our operating principles. The societal values of OIF/OEF are felt throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our goal is to establish laws and regulations to combat the current irregularities and dilemmas facing all OIF and OEF veterans and their families. The value to society will be a safer and more affluent future for our Commonwealth. We ensure that all veteran organizations wishing to maintain open lines of communication with the OIF/OEF have full cooperation from the staff. We do not discriminate against any OIF or OEF veteran based on age, sex, nationality, creed, race, sexual preference, branch of service, and discharge status. |
